| Movie:
Shall We Dance starring Jennifer Lopez & Richard Gere
|
In case you haven't heard
there is a new movie coming out October 15th starring Jennifer Lopez and Richard
Gere. It is the remake of the fabulous Japanese movie, by the same name. It was
filmed in Canada, but is set in Chicago. 
The movie is about an overworked Chicago accountant
(Gere), who is tired of the boring routine that his life has become. He sees a beautiful dance teacher (Lopez) through a window and decides to start taking lessons from her in order to get to know her better, and as the joy of dancing enters his life, he discovers that it might just be the secret to saving his troubled marriage. As the accountant's skill as a dancer improves, he eventually signs up for
the Chicago Crystal Ball Dance Competition. Will he win?
Miramax has already
released a trailer for the film and you can view it on the movie's official web

| DanceSport
for Charities
|
| We are very busy
planning the seventh annual DanceSport for Charities held in Toronto,
Ontario. Every year Dance Plus is the co-sponsor
of a ballroom dance competition that benefits a different charity. Last year
we raised over $22,500 for Willow Breast Cancer Support Services, and this year we hope to raise even
more for Lions Foundation Dog Guides Program.
We work very hard
at putting together this competition and accompanying silent auction, but we
couldn't do it if it weren't for the support of the dance community, and for
that we are very grateful. Tickets will be on sale soon and we are looking
for donations for our silent auction, please check out our charity web
site for more details.
