The Heather Split-Sole, shown below in the Air Mesh finish, is a more flexible version of the traditional teaching and practice shoe because it has a split sole. Widely used across all levels of dancing around the world, the Heather Split-Sole offers comfort, stability and value. For many dancers, the Heather-Split is the dance shoe that they wear the most, with teachers and professionals often owning several Heathers in different finishes. This popular practice shoe is lightweight and features specially developed arch padding, foam lining, and gel cushioning, helping with foot alignment and providing ultimate comfort.
The Heather is also available with the traditional full sole, which sacrifices some flexibility in exchange for more support. Similar to Latin shoes, the full sole also has a metal shank in the arch for maximum stability.Â
