The men’s Contra is the world’s top men’s standard ballroom shoe, known for it’s flexibility, comfort, and style. Behind this seemingly classic style is a great deal of innovation. It’s the first split-sole standard shoe available and was engineered under the guidance of the world’s top professional and amateur ballroom dancers.

It’s lightweight and features specially developed arch padding which helps with foot alignment and comfort. There is also padding under the heel to cushion each step and gel padding runs all the way through the insole. The light and soft Lycra material is often worn when practicing and teaching, though we know many dancers will wear this shoe for competition as well, since many dancers like that the Lycra material stretches to move with the dancer, it retains it’s shape and resists the stretching that often occurs with leather. The Contra is also available in AirMesh, black leather, and black patent.
