The shoes we carry are handcrafted in the UK and Europe by long established footwear companies that specialize in dance shoes and have well deserved reputations in the dance world. We stock the popular shoe styles that Canadian dancers tell us they want. However, we know that is not right for everyone. Maybe you need something unique for a special event or performance. Orders can take from 4-8 weeks, but there are so many more options, including solutions for hard-to-fit feet.

We try to always stock the most popular styles, colours and sizes in our showroom, available to try on and ready to ship. Missing sizes are replaced in our monthly shipments.

Our Stock styles have a liberal exchange and return policy (more details here), and if you need shoes fast we can usually do that.

Special Orders

Special Orders fall in to one of three categories…

Some models can be are available in additional colour choices, and/or additional heel heights or shapes.
Any dance shoe models our brands have in their regular product lines, can be ordered and we will make sure it is in our next shipment. Need a narrow, wide, or extra-wide? If the brand offers this option, we will order it in the width you require. Other widths are available but are a custom order.

Some Special Orders are returnable, but may be subject to a 20% restocking fee. We will waive the restocking fee if we feel the style you ordered will be of interest to other customers. Did we fit you? We stand behind our recommendations. We will reorder your shoes if they don’t fit and your order follows our personal recommendations for your feet. For more than 40 years we have combined our fitting knowledge with International Dance Shoes’ craftmanship. They share our commitment to creativity, individuality, and inclusivity.

Since these customized shoes are made just for you, they are not returnable unless there is a manufacturing defect (extremely rare).

Shoes designed by You

In addition to custom designs for dance performances, movie, and theatrical productions, we also help brides who don't want to sacrifice comfort order the wedding shoes of their dreams. and Besides the dancers that need a double narrow or triple wide, we can order larger and smaller sizes that fall outside or our regular range. We also fit those that have different sizing or heel height requirements for each foot. These custom shoes are not refundable and will be subject to surcharges.
